Civic duties

I now have a car, so does Jill: it's a civic, vintage 1986!
The pic is from dragtimes.com, which also featues pics of mrs f, janzegamor's "mother" (jj)--or maybe it's the dignified "lady" he's hitting, you be the judge.

Now, that was a dig and a half!

Anyway, fill me in on your thoughts about my hotrod and i'll let you know what i think of them. it's mutual reciprocity!

jill is going on break for a couple of weeks. it's also her birthday in a few weeks or so, which should be a blast. might take the ol hotrod out for a spin! nice sunday afternoon....

i cant wait for the replies!!!!!

I can't tell if you are being serious or not!

If so, what did you need to do to be allowed to drive a car in Australia? I assume international license or somesuch?

Did our man in Melbourne suddenly fall into money? me thinks not.

most likely conclusion? : Crizberd found a cool picture of a souped up Civic, and thoughts to heemself, "whyyyyy, I oughtta make me un post regarding this imaaaage."

result: thiss post right here!

WRONG!

suckas dont know who you messin wit--this huddler is car crazy indeed.

yessir, jill and i have literally taken over my ol pal's ol civic, literal truth! and loving it. 280 for the registration, 150 for the insurance, and then gas money. im so pleased. no more 50 minute tram rides, now im battling it out on the freeways.

anyway, let me stress that I DO HAVE A CAR, A VALID LICENCE AND IM LOVING IT. so sweeeett.... (only for 6 months though...)

ill just clear this up a bit since tom makes no sense.

our friend pablo has gone back to italy for 6 months to submit/fix/defend his thesis and then hes coming back in feb or march and didnt want to get rid of his car so he offered us to look after it if we wanted to pay the insurance and registration for 6 months (which we did).

and you dont need to get new licenses to drive in other countries if youre just there with temporary visas (which we are). the end

yeah this is a sweet post. the road trip was not so great what with the fender bender, though it means that we'll buy the car and hopefully repair the damages enough to drive it every now and again. it was a very bad time to have my first accident--i have a lot of work due soon so it's not very good that way. anyhoo, at least we have the huddle, and this secretive post...!!!!
