Bell Island

Bell Island woman punched at her doorstep

A woman who answered a knock at her door early Thursday received a punch in the face from a stranger, police say.

The RCMP were called to the home on Bell Island, a 20-minute ferry ride from St. John's, shortly after 6 a.m.

The woman said someone knocked on her door a short time before that, and when she opened it, a man punched her in the face and then ran away.

It happened in an area of the island known as the Ridge.

The RCMP brought a police dog to the area to help look for the man, who was described as being approximately six feet tall, and wearing a dark forest green jacket with a hood pulled over his head.

Police said the woman suffered an undetermined facial injury and was shaken up by the assault.

*Cory, as our official Bell Island representative, how would you explain this one?

This, and a few other recent incidents, are the makings of a Bell Island crime wave. A few bad eggs with too much time on their hands I think. Maybe they should put more goats on the island eh Jacob. That's a reference to how the only thing to do in the mountains of Albania is to fuck goats. You know it's time to pack it up for the year when the first guy gets tired of fucking 'em and gets his dick bit off.

That joke isn't as funny when you know someone with a case of 'goat dick'.

These responses were more than satisfactory. Clearly a depleted goat population leads to a long, vicious cycle that ends with men ringing doorbells and playing Ring-And Punch A Woman In The Face.
