Til hamingju með afmælið, Michael!

We take you now to the extremely hoppin' party down on LeMarchant Rd. It's very exciting here in St. John's, NFLD, Canada where the very talented and very rich Tom Hanks is hosting THE party of the year. The red carpet is in place and many A-listers are arriving as we speak. The paparazzi are going wild for these gorgeous guests of Mr. Hanks.

First to arrive is, of course, the man of the evening, Mr. Michael Janes, recently returned from his NYC debut of his latest film, Outlander. It is rumored that he turns a fabulous 27 this evening and he certainly holds his own in that stunning Gucci tux. Even though he is a Saturday child and works hard for his living, he makes it looks so easy. And doesn't Ms. Hurley look smitten on his arm?

Next to arrive are his childhood schoolmates. Dr. Arielle Salama, the beautiful and exotic psychiatrist to the stars, followed by soon-to-be Dr. Philip Johnson and his lovely wife, Susan. Oh, I'm being told that Sir Tom Crosbie and his delightful princess, Jill, are pulling up now! As we all know, Sir Crosbie is just back from a bizarre adventure in foreign lands. A pumpin' hummer is next in line and out pours the very famous and very gorgeous BPBs: Matthew, Jacob, and Cory! The girls are going wild here tonight! Finally, a sexy Luke Quinton and his darling partner, Nina, wave to the cameras before disappearing inside. The guest list is endless!

But wait, there is one more limo pulling up... Mr. Hanks IS hosting a shared birthday party, after all. Mr. George Bush (1924) and Miss Anne Frank (1929) have arrived in full attire. What a glamourous evening indeed!

The music has begun and it seems to be Sir Tom singing, "Ebony and Ivory", via karaoke: the #1 hit from 1982 that he and Michael share. The dancing starts, the booze is wheeled out, and before we know it, Michael will be letting everyone at the party know that Mr. Hanks is ripped like heaven (and passing out boxes of chocolates in his best Forrest Gump voice.)

Happy birthday, Janezy! Don't let the paps get that embarrassing photo of you!

Buon compleanno, Tom!

The first of two birthdays this month, Tom is celebrating 27 years on the planet today. He decided to visit Super Mario World and to bring us all along for an exciting, and sometimes dangerous, adventure to save the princess Jill and get some cake!

As we walk through the sunny land, we discover that we are not hearing the familiar Mario theme playing from a distant broadcast but instead are listening to "Ebony and Ivory" by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder. It must be the song that was #1 when Tom was born and gives us a false sense of harmony in these strange lands.

All of a sudden, Leelee Sobieski, that Helen Hunt look-alike actress, jumps in front of Tom and the rest of us! It turns out they were born in the same year and Leelee wants the cake all for herself! Thinking quickly, Tom stomps on her head and earns himself a few coins. But then, from out of a green tube pop Elizabeth Hurley (1965) and Judy Garland (1933), snapping with poison! Tom convinces Judy she's not only a far way from Kansas but from Oz as well and she walks off searching for red slippers. In the meantime, Janezy has charmed Elizabeth Hurley into joining our gang for some cake after telling her that HIS birthday is in two days. Prince Philip (1921) tries to sneak up behind as cake is his favourite food but Tom swiftly shoots fireballs at him, yelling, "We've already got a Philip!" Good thinking, Tom!

Finally, we reach the palace and after watching a tiring battle between Thursday's Child Tom (he has far to go!) and the Evil Bowser (pass the popcorn, Arielle!), the princess Jill is saved and we can all enjoy Tom's birthday cake, which are actually lots of little cupcakes. Luke takes a great picture of them before we devour them (see picture above) and we all join in together to say to Tom: Happy Birthday!

(Have a great day, birthday boy!)
