Dreams and Jobs

I'm not sure if this really deserves a post, but I thought it was pretty amusing. I had a funny dream the other night about our friend Luke Q. In this dream we were in a candy shop in Austin, and I was picking out some black licorice. Luke picked out a novelty sized plastic acorn that had been dipped in sprinkles. He was going to eat dinner that night at Michael Winter's house, who you may all know as a favorite writer of Luke. He wanted to make the acorn into a centre piece to give to Michael W so he attached a black rose to the top of the acorn and dipped the whole thing in sparkles. He was very pleased with his center piece. I was laughing when I woke up!

Also, I got a job working for the City of New York in the parks department making maps of all of the city parks :D  I'm starting next monday and will move to the city by the summertime, and split my time between New Haven and there. I'm very excited!! The office is in Central Park, which makes it extra sweet! Make your plans to visit NYC soon, because everyone keeps telling me that I'm not going to last long in that city  :o

From Toolie to ... where?

Yo, drop your pants Quinton and listen up! Just back from crazed Bukkak' times in Toronto.

Back when we were in Australia, the best we could hope for was to be labelled "toolie":

"Popular Schoolies venues are often attended by people well past school age, labelled by the media as toolies. The word is derived from the notation "too old for Schoolies" and also the slang expression "tool", which is synonymous with "wanker." Toolies are associated with the targeting of drunk teenagers for sex, and are also frequently involved in any disturbances that take place during the celebrations. Because of this, toolies are a major topic of media scrutiny during Schoolies week. Toolies also refers to early school leavers who are in apprenticeship training but join in the Schoolies celebrations."

But not in the States, where I am legitimately on Spring Break! Spring Break is the best. It's better than that time when Janes lived with the divrocee in Corner Brook. Almost as good as Matthew's night of unfulfilled butt-touching. Not as good as watching the Watchmen though.

I tell you, watching the Watchmen was great! Not sure how they roll back home, but in Toronto the Watchmen was on imax; the food was whoppers with cheese and POUTINE!!

But, in other news, we're moving! But I'll let Jill fill everyone in!

And to conclude, a little Frank and Ernest:
