They Call me Buck 65... I don't know why.

I'm just sitting here all maritimed-out digging me some Rich Terfry, aka Buck 65 on Radio 2 Drive. He is probably the best Disc Jock ever to spit into a microphone this early century.
I just heard him agree to a Pancake-Off with a 12 year old who wrote to disagree that Rich T made the best pancakes in the world "it's nothing fancy, it's all in the , uhh, technique" he says. So the girl sarcastically signs off with, "I live in Halifax, remember that place?" Rich proceeds to take her letter piece by piece until he's thoroughly chewed it up.

Halifax, he says "duh, it's where I'm from, I have family there... I'm there all the time." He showed her like nobody's business.

Oh, and he plays music that's actually good on the radio. Almost makes me want to to like the new CBC 2, almost. Tom Power is pretty sweet too, have people heard him on Deep Roots?

Plus, everyone knows how Matthew now has that quasi-maritimed speech pattern which is sweet like the bomb? So does Buck 65. That makes both M. Rowe and B. 65 cool, or maybe just one of them as they cancel each other out.

Back to quasi-work.

It's 2 days before my birthday.... how sweet is that!?!?!

That's the new Long Center here... we're on the floor, towards the back (there's no way I could pony up an extra 100 $ to be 10 feet closer!). So it's no Holy Heart . . . but it's gonna be incredible.

Gelukkige Verjaardag, Jacob!

Well, well, well. Here has arrived another birthday. And not JUST another birthday on the Huddle but the first of the '82ers! Now that Nina, Brad, and I are out of the way, Jacob is the next oldest! What sorts of details are there regarding Jacob and his special day of birth? Let us read on and find out!

Jacob, a Thursday's child, has far to go. We certainly agree with that as he prepares himself for another bout in Albania soon (all the best, buddy!) As Jacob joined us in the world, he could be distinctly heard singing to the #1 hit of the day which was, "Centerfold" by J. Geils Band. Celebrities that were here before him and decided to celebrate his birth (as it turns out to be their birthday as well) are: Rihanna (although she's younger, being born in 1988), Dr. Dre (1965), Vanna White (1957), John Travolta (1954), and Cybill Shepherd (1950). Now THAT'S the day to be born!

Jaboc, we hope today is a fun day, a full day, and a day of many, many pieces of cake. Have a drink on all of us who are not in the province to celebrate it with you directly as we all will have a drink ourselves in your honour. Happy 27th!

Broken Social Scene here in Austin. We were way up in the nosebleeds, but none of that mattered because it was a beautiful transfiximagraphic experience.

Also, I'm sure everyone's heard the terrible Christian Bale rant. Entertaining no doubt, but it does make the stomach a little ill for humanity.

The job is fine so far it pays money, which is good. I think I'll quickly figure out which direction to move in the future, based on whether I'd like to work in a box with no sunlight for 8/9 hours a day for the rest of my life.

Just watched Benjamin Button, and felt mad love for the epic.

Today is our dear Brad's birthday! Some of us were able to celebrate it early with him before he left for Thompson while others must be content with wishing him happy birthday here and on Facebook. So without further ado, here's Brad's birthday deets!
