I said to Jill last week, "dillers to doners, Jake's pay's gonna be quarter dece, but he won't save a goddamn dime-- he'll nickel it away on five-cent Gjirokastër strippers." It sucks being right all the time.

Seriously now Jacob, hold on to that money to fund your victory lap when you graduate. There's a strong potentiality we'll be in connecticut, which is looking sweeter by the minute.

In entertainment news, Jill and I went to the ol' Feist concert last night. It was pretty good, pretty low key (pretty boring). We left in a rush to catch the tram, but Thursday we'll be maxing at the Northcote Social Club watching Stars-- a mere brisk trot from our home:

So everything is turning up Crizlebie! Took long enough, hey Jill!

Le Grille!

Ok, so I wanted to wait for something interesting to happen to me before I made my first post on here... but at the rate things are going, that could very well be a long ways off.
BUT, I did think of something that I wanted to make known to all of yous guys, and since Mike will never get around to mentioning it himself, I'm taking this one.
So, we are planning on taking a little trip to see the Montreal Jazz Festival this summer. Not exactly sure when just yet, but we were hoping that we could coordinate some sort of "group adventure" for anyone who felt like appearing there at the same time, and possibly spend some time hanging out in the same place.
So yeah, just thought I'd throw it out there. The more the merrier, and we will determine when exactly it will be according to everyone's availability. Ok!

Hats off to the old man, or, "a challenge."

First of all, Happy Birthday, Mr. Prince! We hope it is fraught with drinks and good eats!

It's Jacob's birthday tomorrow/today in OZ, and so I wanted to begin a little "birthday challenge" in his honour.

So back in the "Summer of Huddle" there was the occasion of a small debate, from which arose a difference between two camps: the first, believing in the Zodiac on some level, the second, denying it any relevance whatsoever. The second, of course, was spearheaded by one of the Cocos (though that was to be assumed).

The challenge is this. I have scanned, for your viewing pleasure, the text of three pages from The Birthday Book, wherein each page represents the birthday of a different huddler. The presupposition is that by identifying (or not identifying) which text belongs to Jacob's birthday, we shall have stepped closer to deciding whether or not the text can accurately be used.

What follows are the images. Please read, then subsequently vote which is Jacob's in the comments section. Bonne Chance!

Hello my valentines

We're ignoring it mostly, but instead here's a good find: comics from a girl living in the Capital City.
This one is funnier, but is not on topic. it does, however, involve VOWR, so mad props.

New York, New York!

I spent the weekend in NYC, having bussed down from Toronto. I checked out Times Square, Broadway, and a Melanie C. (Sporty Spice) gig! It was an awesome trip and I'd love to go back for a longer visit. Some exciting tidbits:

*I brought back a "black and white" cookie, inspired by Seinfeld!
*We hit a snowstorm on the highway, 30 miles outside of Buffalo. That was a bit scary but we made it to Buffalo after very slow and careful driving!
*The US border guards wouldn't let me bring grapes into the country and confiscated them!
*The Canadian border guards didn't even search our bags.
*A drunk, black man sat next to me on the bus going home, chatting to his "dog" on his cell and bitching to his "dog" about "bitches", "chicks", and how he owed him a favour for leaving him "chillin' in ma crib with them bitches!"
*I found a new seat after two attempts: first attempt was a black dude asking me if there wasn't any other place I could sit and second attempt was a white woman telling me that moving her bag would be a bitch to do. :S

Spice Up Your Life!

The Return of the Spice Girls World Tour set down in Toronto (AKA Spice City) this weekend! I spent two hours last night screaming, singing, and dancing to the best band in the world! What's that? You'd like to see some pictures? Why of course! Here they are!

I'll put the rest up on Facebook so head over there if you'd like to see some more! On a completely different note, I am heading home to NFLD this March. I'm visiting the family from the 7th to the 14th so let's hang out some night. See you all in March!
